Valley House – setting high standards with its food planning & preparation

If you think that meals at hospital or rehab centers are always bland and boring, it’s time that you visit Valley House. This Santa Clara rehabilitation center not only provides food with good nutrition value, but also makes it look, smell and taste good.

Under the able guidance of Maria Bellot, the Director of Food Services at this rehab center, and Chef Jorge Sebastiani - the Paris-trained, full-time chef, the menu of this Bay Area rehab center has something different to offer every day.

With a career spanning 20 long years as a dietary supervisor, Maria Bellot has been with Valley House for 9 years, and feels it to be a personally rewarding job of offering tasty and nutritious menus to the residents.

Chef Jorge Sebastiani brings his specialized knowledge of home style cooking into play while whipping up a wide variety of ethnic cuisines, like Italian, Mediterranean, French, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and Vietnamese. The best part of his cooking is that he creates home-style cooked meals that are tasty and yet don’t sacrifice their nutritional content. No wonder that the food offered at Valley House has become a major attraction among its residents, and the highlight of the day for some.

More about food at Valley House

Apart from offering seasonal menus to the patients, this physical therapy center also arranges Welcome Socials, where each Valley House resident can ask up to two of his/her guests to attend. The monthly Breakfast Club, in which gourmet breakfasts are served, is another unique event which is offered at this orthopedic rehab center.
